Project Overview

What We Worked On

  • Brand storytelling and site architecture
  • Four-language public website
  • Online booking journey
  • Client accounts and booking history
  • Salon back office: agenda, staff, absences, services
  • Gallery, reviews, news and newsletter management
  • SEO, AI-readable llms.txt and consent-based analytics

Background

Di Fiore is a family barbershop in Yverdon-les-Bains, founded by Rosario Di Fiore in 1971 and run today by his son John. The project gave more than fifty years of craft a modern home online — honouring the salon's history while making booking and day-to-day management simple for clients and the team.

The Challenge

  • Heritage without nostalgia — Fifty-five years of history had to feel alive and premium, not dated.
  • A multilingual clientele — Yverdon's clients speak French, Italian, German and English, and every page needed to work in all four.
  • Booking friction — Appointments relied on phone calls; clients needed a clear way to book online at any time.
  • Running the salon — The team needed one place to manage the agenda, staff, absences, services, gallery and reviews.
  • Being found — Local search and AI assistants needed accurate, structured information about the salon.

The Solution

Phase 1: Story & Identity

Built a dark, editorial visual identity around the salon's archive photos, the story of Rosario and John and a dedicated history page.

Phase 2: Multilingual Website

Delivered services, team, gallery, reviews, FAQ and contact pages in French, English, Italian and German with localized metadata.

Phase 3: Booking Journey

Designed a guided booking flow connected to the salon's Salonkee scheduling, plus group bookings and booking notifications.

Phase 4: Client & Staff Spaces

Added client accounts (bookings, history, reviews, profile) and staff views with a personal calendar.

Phase 5: Salon Back Office

Created an admin area for agenda, staff, absences and holidays, services, gallery, curated reviews, news, subscribers and analytics.
