Contexte

Au Moment Présent is a cultural café and tapas bar in Yverdon-les-Bains preparing a new chapter. The owners needed a concept site that conveys the warm, intentional atmosphere of the place — candlelight, plants, slow evenings — while still handling the practical reality of reservations for tables, brunch, dinner, and live events.

Convey atmosphere, not just information — the site had to feel like the café itself: warm, slow, candlelit.
Stand out from generic restaurant templates with menus and contact forms.
Promote upcoming cultural events (readings, concerts, vernissages) alongside everyday service.
Make reservations frictionless across very different occasions: a coffee, a brunch, a dinner, an event.
Keep it fast and beautiful on mobile, where most discovery happens.

La solution

Phase 1: Cinematic Hero & Brand Lockup

Full-screen hero with sunset café photography and a custom typographic lockup mixing serif and display fonts with playful icons (cup, fork, wine glass) to express the dual café / bar à tapas identity.

Phase 2: Scroll-Driven Storytelling

Manifesto, layered scenes and a pinned reveal section built with Framer Motion's useScroll / useTransform — each section breathes as the user scrolls, mirroring the café's slow rhythm.

Phase 3: Events Programme

Horizontal marquee header and a curated list of upcoming events (readings, jazz trio, brunch & poetry, vernissages) with tags, dates, and one-click deep-linking into the reservation flow.

Phase 4: Multi-Step Reservation Flow

Typeform-style 7-step form (occasion → name → email → phone → date → people → notes) with progress indicator, keyboard navigation, animated transitions, and Zod validation on every field.

Phase 5: Closing Invitation & Footer

A soft closing section invites visitors to come live a moment, with a clean footer reinforcing the location and concept positioning for 2026.
